Slack is one of the most innovative companies in the world, and a lot of companies rely on Slack's everyday as their communication tool to power their business. We're talking over 20 million daily active users, with over 1 billion messages sent each week! An integral tool to any modern company!

OfficeSimplify offers Slack integrations so you can do a variety of things without leaving Slack! Here are some things that you can do to make your life simpler:

1. Book time off directly in Slack

Using the "/timeoff" slash command anywhere will allow any employee to book time off directly in Slack. It couldn't be simpler! You select the dates you want to take off, and the leave type, add an optional description and you're done.

2. Approving time off

Once an employee requests time off, their manager will receive a notification about their time off request asking to approve or reject the request. OfficeSimplify also lets you know if there is anyone else away during the requested period, so you can rest assured there will be no surprises, and you can easily see and fix any clashes

3. Notify employees when a decision has been made

When a manager approves or rejects a time off request, we'll notify the employee to let them know if their time off request is successful or not. During our research time off requests using the traditional way took 1-2 weeks to get a decision made which is not great for employees as obviously one might need to book flights if going away and generally plan. With OfficeSimplify we've seen this time drop down to less than 10 minutes! A huge improvement on an old process!

4. Daily notifications to keep you up-to-date

OfficeSimplify sends you a daily notification about important dates such as birthdays or anniversaries occurring during the week, and also a notification about where everyone is for the day. So no more running around looking for Jeff, when he's actually in the Caribbean sipping on a pina-colada.
